Nisme was born in Bogotá, Colombia. She received a BA in psychology from the Universidad Católica de Colombia, and advanced specializations in Data Analysis (Universidad de la Salle) and in Higher Education Teacher (Universidad Militar Nueva Granada). In 2002 she received her MA in Education and Social Development. She is currently a doctoral candidate in the Social Science, Childhood and Youth Program at CINDE-Universidad de Manizales. Nisme is a profesor at CINDE’s Universidad Pedagógica, and also a researcher and consultant on early childhood and social development.
